Tracking Active Participants in Your Session

Why Track Participants?

In collaborative coding, knowing who’s actively contributing can help you gauge engagement, balance workloads, and keep projects on track. CodeFlow’s Active Participants feature gives you real-time insights into who’s currently in the session and how they’re interacting with the project.

How Participant Tracking Works

Whenever someone joins a CodeFlow session, their presence is logged and displayed in the participant list. The system tracks typing activity, code edits, and interactions so you can see at a glance who’s active and who may need a nudge to engage.

Key Advantages:

  • Better team awareness: Always know who’s contributing in real time.
  • Identify bottlenecks: Spot inactive users and offer assistance.
  • Improve collaboration: Assign tasks and follow-ups more effectively.

When to Use This Feature

Active participant tracking is especially useful in large classrooms, remote team coding sessions, and hackathons where quick team coordination is essential.

Getting Started

Enable the Active Participants option in your session settings, and CodeFlow will display an up-to-the-second list of active users along with activity indicators. This helps you make decisions faster and keep collaboration flowing smoothly.
